Beyond Wonderland — Alice’s Adventures in Pantoville
Breaking with tradition, our pantomime in 2022 was in April — oh yes it was! We presented Beyond Wonderland: Alice’s Adventures in Pantoville, an original panto written by our director Ian Clark.
Alice arrives at university to begin her new course. Far away in Wonderland, Wanda the Wicked Witch is determined to shed her evil image and become popular enough to play the princess in next season’s pantomime. Sadly for her — and for all the inhabitants of Wonderland, including the characters living in Pantoville — her spell backfires, mixing up all the panto stories and sending the Queen of Hearts into a never-ending sleep.
Will everyone survive to appear in another pantomime? There were spells, cakes, jam tarts and croquet matches fit for a queen.
